  1. Perhaps none of you ever noticed, but our mailing list was out of order
  2. from about 15.30 (local time) yesterday until a couple of minutes ago.
  3.  
  4. Someone apparently thought it was a good idea to disconnect the power
  5. from the host computer! I've been told that something was done inside the
  6. machine, but I have no idea what that might have been.
  7. That someone would ever consider doing this kind of thing without even
  8. contacting me (I'm the only one with root access) is outrageous!
  9.  
  10. The reason the list did not get back up when the power was restored was
  11. that the machine has dual operating systems installed (software troubles)
  12. and the default is to boot into the one we don't use...
  13.  
  14. Hopefully this won't happen again in the forseable future.
